Lisa Kinzelberg is a fine artist based in Chicago's North Shore. She produces drawings and paintings that include large-scale abstracts, portraits and figurative works.
Coming from a long line of prominent musicians and percussionists, Lisa paints like a drummer or conductor, focusing on rhythm and movement.
She intentionally interrupts lines, sculpts and composes the surface of her compositions, strategically covering and revealing markings to produce a highly evocative composition, color field, texture and energy.
Many pieces evoke urban buildings or natural surfaces, like water, stone, rock, pavement, sky and brick.
Lisa is currently showing her work throughout the North Shore and is engaged in private commissions for interior designers and collectors around the U.S. She was recently featured on the cover of Sheridan Road Magazine for her 2019 show at Vivid Gallery in Winnetka, as well as in the Spring 2019 issue of North Shore Modern Luxury Magazine as a "local influencer."
